Title: Senior Regulatory Consultant

How long have you been working at EcoEngineers? Since 2020

What service area do you work? I work in 規制エンゲージメント, ライフサイクルアセスメント, 資産開発コンサルティング, コンプライアンス管理, 監査サービス. I am also the Team Lead for Project Management at EcoEngineers.

Where are you from? Des Moines, Iowa

What degrees or certifications do you have? B.S. in Chemical Engineering

Why do you do what you do? I enjoy solving problems and sharing knowledge.

What does a Clean Energy Economy mean to you? A better world.

What question do your friends or family typically ask about your job? What do you do at work? I help guide companies looking to produce renewable energy through the development of their project and participation under clean fuel programs.

What question does a client typically ask about your job before you begin? What is your role? I typically am the project manager on projects so I let them know I act as a main point of contact for them, maintaining the flow of information between are companies and coordinating our internal resources to ensure we meet project timelines.

What is the biggest problem you solve? How would you describe it and your approach to fixing it? When there is no black and white answer to a client question. My approach is to be resourceful, brainstorm with other team members, educate myself, and think about my response instead of addressing the question quickly with my first thought. With consulting nothing is black and white and sometimes someone else may think of something you didn’t think of.

How would you describe your biggest win? Being a project manager at EcoEngineers allows for the opportunity to work on very diverse projects, become exposed to different EcoEngineers service areas, and collaborate with a lot of different people. The clean energy sector is such a unique, complex and ever-changing sector, so the biggest win is when a client lets me know I’ve helped make their experience with us a smoother and efficient process.

What do you do you for fun outside of work and why do you enjoy it? Reading, spending time with family, cooking, watch tv. I love spending time with my family. I moved back to Iowa to be close to them and enjoy not missing out on family activities. We love to get together around food, so I love to cook especially for others. I like books and movies, especially based on true stories; I like the perspective that you get from briefly experiencing a world outside of your own.
