I was looking through LinkedIn and saw an article that caught my eye from Carbon Robotics.

Have you heard about this laser-weeding robot? Carbon Robotics, located in Seattle, developed a piece of equipment that uses lasers to kill weeds without killing the crop. This self-driving robot can work all day and night and uses CO2 lasers verses herbicides.

Per Carbon Robotics, “Unlike other weeding technologies, the robots utilize high-power lasers to eradicate weeds using thermal energy, without disturbing the soil. The LaserWeeder allows farmers to use less herbicides and reduces labor to remove unwanted plants while improving the reliability and predictability of costs, crop yield, and more.”
