Title: コンプライアンススペシャリスト

How long have you been working at EcoEngineers? Since February 2020

What service area do you work? I work in 監査サービス. I am responsible for day-to-day audit performance and program-related reporting for foreign and biodiesel producers.

Where are you from? Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico

What degrees or certifications do you have? B.S. in Geology

Why do you do what you do? From a young age my mom instilled in me a love for all things science. As I got older she taught me how to love and respect the earth because it is the only one we have. At a young age I always knew I would be in earth sciences and work in a field that would help me make a change.

What does a Clean Energy Economy mean to you? It means educating people of the importance of sustainability and the lasting effects that our consumerism has caused our planet.

What question do your friends or family typically ask about your job? The most frequent question I get is “What do you do?” I work with renewable fuel producers to insure that they are following EPA guidelines to generate credits when they produce renewable fuel.

What is the biggest problem you solve? How would you describe it and your approach to fixing it? My biggest problem is when producers do not generate RINs correctly or when their monthly data does not match the documentation that was submitted. I contact the producers and explain my findings. Then we work together to find out a solution.

How would you describe your biggest win? Getting a job at Eco has been my biggest win so far!

What do you do you for fun outside of work and why do you enjoy it? I love watching movies, karaoke, and going snowmobiling in the winter. I also enjoy helping schools interpret for parent teacher conferences during fall and spring semesters.
